My Quick Origin Story

I'm Rayaan — a journalist-turned-ghostwriter who's spent seven years inside real newsrooms before deciding the best stories weren't always being told by the people who lived them.

I've reported and edited at News Today, DT Next, and The Hindu BusinessLine, built content strategy at AshokaX (Ashoka University's online learning platform), and earned a journalism fellowship at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, CUNY on a Facebook Journalism Project scholarship.

Along the way: a Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University, a The Hindu Mobile Journalism Award, and a speaking slot at Google News Initiative's Splice Beta in Bangkok.

Today, I use everything I learned in newsrooms to help founders and executives say what they actually mean — on LinkedIn, in newsletters, and in the long-form pieces that build real reputations.

I also run The Fiction Emailer — a newsletter at the crossroads of speculative journalism and speculative fiction. It's where I experiment. It's also how I know this stuff works.

If you've got a story worth telling, I'm the one to help you tell it.
